Veins:

  1. Veins are the blood vessels that carry deoxygenated blood (except the pulmonary vein) from other organs to the heart.
  2. The veins are inelastic- and thin-walled and have a large lumen.
  3. Hence, the veins can easily get collapsed when they are empty without blood.
