Solution

The correct option is D Malpighian body
Filtration of blood takes place at Malpighian body. Malpighian body or renal corpuscle comprises of glomerulus and Bowman's capsule. Blood gets filtered through the glomerular capillaries into the Bowman's capsule.

Proximal convoluted tubule (PCT) is lined by cuboidal epithelium cells bearing brush border and allows the reabsorption of water and salts.

Distal Convoluted tubule (DCT) allows conditional reabsorption of Na+ and water and selective secretion of H+, K+, NH3 to maintain pH and Na-K balance in blood.

Large amounts of water is reabsorbed from the collecting duct to produce the concentrated urine.
