Given: $(- 10) - (- 20) - (- 30) - (- 40) - 50$
Convert the subtraction into addition
$(- 10) + 20 + 30 + 40 + (- 50)$
Add negative numbers separately and positive numbers separately
$(- 10) + 20 + 30 + 40 + (- 50) = (- 60) + 90$
$= 30$ (when adding a positive and a negative number we have to subtract both numbers and put a sign of the greater number)
Hence, the answer is $30$ .
