First, convert decimal numbers into fractions. That is
$3.25 = \frac{325}{100}$ and $0.5 = \frac{5}{10}$ .
So we can write that
$3.25 \div 0.5 = \frac{325}{100} \div \frac{5}{10}$
$= \frac{325}{100} \times \frac{10}{5}$ [ Taking the reciprocal ]
$= \frac{65}{10} = 6.5$
Hence, the value of $3.25 \div 0.5$ is $6.5$ .
