Question

Find 34-(-72) and (-72)-34

Open in App
Solution

1. 34-(-72)= 34+72 =106 ( we use the property , '-' × '-' = +)

2. (-72)-34 = -(72+34) = -106 { at 1 st we take the negative sign in common, then we use the '-' × '+' ='-'
when a negative sign is multiplied with a positive sign then the resultant will be a negative, here we used this formula, that's why when we take negative sign in common the middle function became positive , and the answer became negative, - × + = -}
