In Fig (b) 6Ω and 3Ω are in parallel which will give resultant 2Ω. And this 2Ω in series with 10Ω will give resultant 12Ω which is shown in Fig(c).

And in Fig(c) 12Ω and 6Ω in parallel will give resultant of 4Ω. And this 4Ω in series with 6Ω will give resultant of 10Ω which is shown in Fig(d)

The effective resistance between A and B is 5Ω.
