In Fig (b) $6\Omega$ and $3\Omega$ are in parallel which will give resultant $2\Omega$. And this $2\Omega$ in series with $10\Omega$ will give resultant $12\Omega$ which is shown in Fig(c).

And in Fig(c) $12\Omega$ and $6\Omega$ in parallel will give resultant of $4\Omega$. And this $4\Omega$ in series with $6\Omega$ will give resultant of $10\Omega$ which is shown in Fig(d)

The effective resistance between A and B is $5\Omega$.
