Since f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=x2 and also (fog)(x)=f(g(x)).
Put x=2 in g(x) as shown below:
g(2)=(2)2
g(2)=4
Now find f(4) that is:
f(4)=2(4)+1=8+1=9
Therefore, (fog)(2)=f(g(2))=9
