Solution

Dear Student,

We can't use Euclid's Algorithm to find the LCM. It is only used to find the HCF.

Answer :
We know rules to find out
LCM of fractions = LCM of numerator / HCF of denominators

Step 1 - first we remove decimal and form these decimal numbers into fractions, As :

2.5 = 25 / 10

0.5 = 5 / 10

0.175 = 175 / 1000

Now we find LCM of all numerator terms

So,
LCM ( 5 , 25 , 175 ) = 5 × 5 × 7 = 175

And HCF of 10 , 10 , 1000

10 = 1 × 10

10 = 1 × 10

1000 = 10 × 10 × 10

So,
HCF of ( 10 , 10 , 1000 ) = 10

So LCM of our fractions is: 175 / 10 = 17.5 ( Ans )
