$A{B}^2+A{C}^2=B{C}^2$
$8^2+A{C}^2={17}^2$
$A{C}^2=289-64$
$A{C}^2=225$
$AC=15$ cm
$\tan C=\frac{P}{B}=\frac{AB}{AC}=\frac{8}{15}$
