The given series is first arranged into ascending; 15,20,27,35,40,55.

N= 6

median= (6+1)/2 th term = 7/2 th term = 3.5 th term

= ( value of 3rd term + value of 4th term)/2

= (27+35) /2 = 62/2 =31
