n-factor:

  1. In the case of acid and base n-factor is calculated as the number of replaceable H+ and OH- ion respectively.
  2. In the case of salts, n-factor is calculated as the number of electrons exchanged per mole of the salt.
  3. Na2CO32Na++CO32-; each Na atom give 1e- so total 2e- is being exchanged.
  4. So, the n-factor of Na2CO3 is 2.
