Solution

The largest portion of photosynthesis as converted into cellulose. But this quantity varies from one geographical area to other
(a) In desert it is less than 2 kcal/m2/day
(b) In grassland, deep lakes and mountain forest it is 2-12 kcal/m2/day.
(c) In moist forest, shallow lake, moist grass land and moist agricultural land it is 2-40 kcal/m2/day.
data can be used to calculate for cellulose secretion is the world/year increasing industrialisation increasing the use of paper. Due to this vegetation is being lost to great extent.
