Find out if the given list of numbers $3,8,15,24,...$ is a sequence or not. If so, then find the $5^{th}$ term of the sequence.

Lets take the different between every term and the term succeeding it.

i.e. $3-0=3,8-3=5,15-8=7,24-15=9$

These difference from a sequence in$A.P.$ with $a=3,d=2$

$\therefore$ The sequence of $3,5,7,9,11\dots$

So, the next term is $x-24=11,x=35$

$six$ term or the next term is, $y-35=13,y=48$
