Find out molarity of H+ ions in 2M, 500ml of H2SO4 solution.
H2SO4⇌2H++SO−4
1 : 2
500 mL of 2 M solution contains 1 M H2SO4 molecules. We see from dissociation reaction that H2SO4:H+ ratio is 1:2
Therefore, 2 moles H+ ions are present in 500 mL solution.
500 mL solution→2 moles H+ ions
1000 mL solution→4 moles H+ ions
∴ Molarity of H+ ions is 4 M
