In the small intestine, polysaccharides like starch are digested with the help of enzymes like amylase to form disaccharides like maltose (made of two glucose molecules). The protein digestion mainly occurs in the stomach where the enzyme pepsin breaks down proteins into proteoses and peptones. The digestion of fats mainly occurs in the small intestine where fats are broken down into diglycerides initially and further broken down into monoglycerides with the help of the enzyme lipase and bile.
