Solution

The correct option is B

9

Solve for the pattern in the given series

We are given a series that is a union of two sequences.

3,2,8,9,13,22,18,32,23,42

First:3,8,13,18,23

Second: 2,9,22,32,42

We need to find the incorrect term in the given series.

Clearly, the pattern in the first is +5and the pattern in the second is +10

First series:

3+5=88+5=1313+5=1818+5=23

Second series:

2+10=1212+10=2222+10=3232+10=42

In second 9 is the incorrect term and must be replaced by (2+10=12)

So, the incorrect term is 9

Hence, the correct option is option B i.e. 9
