Solution
The attack on Iraq by USA started in March 2003. It was an attack carried out in coalition by USA and Britain.
According to U.S.A. President George W.Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, the coalition mission was "to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, to end Saddam Hussein's support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people.
After the surrender of the Iraqi army, in June 2004, under the auspices of united nations security council resolution, the coalition transferred limited sovereignty to a caretaker government, whose first act was to begin the trial of Saddam Hussein.
On 30 January, 2005 an election for a government to draft a permanent constitution took place.
