The correct option is B 103V
Let R be the equivalent resistance of the circuit. The circuit is infinite hence, by adding one more section will not be effective on the equivalent resistance of the circuit. Now, consider the part of the circuit as shown in figure (a),
From figure, the equivalent resistance of the circuit is
R=Rp+4
where, Rp=3R3+R
R=3R3+R+4
R=3R+12+4R3+R
3R+R2=3R+12+4R
R24R12=0
(R6)(R+2)=0
R=6Ω
Now, this equivalent resistance is parallel to each 3Ω resistor.
Hence,
Rp=(3)(6)3+6
Rp=189=2Ω
By potential division rule, voltage across Rp is
VAB=VRpR
VAB=(10)(2)6
VAB=103V
