Question

Find the additive inverse of the number

563

Open in App
Solution

Additive inverse: An additive inverse of a number is defined as the value, which on adding with the original number results in zero value.

Suppose, a is the original number, then its additive inverse will be minus of a i.e., -a, such that;

a+(-a)=aa=0

Here, a=563, then-a=-(563)=-563, so that,

563-563=0

Hence, the additive inverse of 563 is -563.
