Given vectors are a and b , such that a b = 6 , | a |= 3 and | b |=2.

Formula used for dot product is,

a b =| a || b |cosθ

Here, the angle between a and b is θ.

Substitute all the values in the above formula.

6 = 3 ×2×cosθ 6 3 ×2 =cosθ cosθ= 1 2 θ= π 4

Thus, the angle between a and b is π 4 .
