Find the angle in radian though which a pendulum swings if its length is 75 cm and the tip describes an arc of length (i) 10 cm (ii) 15 cm (iii) 21 cm

The length of the pendulum is 75cm .It acts as the radius of the swing area.

The arc length is 10cm

The angle of swing is

Angle= Arc length Radius of the arc = 10 75 = 2 15 radian

Thus, the angle of the swing is 2 15 radian .

(b)

The length of the pendulum is 75cm .It acts as the radius of the swing area.

The arc length is 15cm

The angle of swing is

Angle= Arc length Radius of the arc = 15 75 = 1 5 =0.2 radian

Thus, the angle of the swing is 0.2radian .

(c)

The length of the pendulum is 75cm .It acts as the radius of the swing area.

The arc length is 21cm .

The angle of swing is

Angle= Arc length Radius of the arc = 21 75 = 7 25 radians

Thus, the angle of the swing is 7 25 radian .
