Areaof figure = Total number of squares × area of each square
$=11\times 1$
$=11c{m}^2$
Total number of sides = 18
Perimeter of figure = Total number of sides × length of each side
Perimeter of fig $=(18\times 1)\text{cm}$
$=18\text{cm}$
Therefore, Area of the given figures is $11{\text{cm}}^2$ and the perimeter of this figure is 18 cm.

(ii) Area of each square $=1{\text{cm}}^2$
Area of square $=(\text{side}{)}^2$

Area of figure = Total number of squares × area of each square
