Find the area...
Question
Find the area of a parallelogram PQRS in which PQ = 15.2cm and altitude ST = 8.2cm. Find the altitude if QR=8.6 cm is taken as the base.
Open in App
Solution
Area = Base*Height
So Base PQ =15.2 cm
Altitude(Height) ST = 8.2 cm
Area= 15.2*8.2= 124.64 sq. cm
Now Base QR= 8.6 cm
Therefore altitude = Area/Base
Altitude = 124.64/8.6
= 14.493 cm
Hence, the altitude is 14.493 cm
