Question

Find the area of a rectangle whose:
Length =3.6 cm breadth =90 cm

Open in App
Solution

Given
Length of the rectangle =3.6 m
Breadth of the rectangle =90 cm
We know that
100 cm=1 m
Hence, the breadth can be converted into meter from centimeter as follows
Breadth =90 cm
=90/100 m
We get,
=0.9 m2
Hence the area of the rectangle is calculate as follows:
Area = Length × Breadth
Area =3.6 m×0.9 m
We get,
=3.24 m2
Hence, the area of the rectangle =3.24 m2
