Area of quadrilateral can be written as Ar(ΔABD) + Ar(ΔBCD)

Ar (ΔABD)
=12×base×height=12×24×10

Ar(ΔBCD) =12×base×height=12×24×8

Area of quadrilateral

= 12×24×10+12×24×8

= 12×24(10+8)

= 24×9

= 216 sq. units
