We know that, area of rectangle is given by $= l \times b$ [where $l$ stands for length and $b$ stands for breadth]
Here, $l = 16 c m, b = 12.5 c m$
Therefore,
$\begin{array}{rcl} A r e a & = & 16 \times 12.5 \\ = & 200 c m^{2} \end{array}$
Hence , area of rectangle is $200 c m^{2}$
