The correct option is A 13 m2
Lets name its vertices.
As we can see, the given complex figure has two rectangles namely ABCD and GHEF.
Area of closed figure = Area of rectangle ABCD + Area of rectangle EFGH

Area of ABCD = length × breadth
=4×2=8 m2
Area of EFGH = length × breadth
=1×5=5 m2

Hence, Area of closed figure =8 m2+5 m2=13 m2
Option (a) is correct.
