Height of trapezium = $3$ cm

Area of trapezium with parallel sides $a$,$b$ and height $h$ = $\frac{(a+b)}{2}\times h$

Area of trapezium $=\frac{(7+9)}{2}\times 3=8\times 3=24$sq.cm.
