We can easily notice by looking at the figure of the given polygon that it is a combination of three triangles and two trapeziums.

Triangles: △DME, △DNC, △FOA
Trapezium: EMOF, NCBA
Note: DM = 40m, DN = 80m, MO = 70 m, NA = 80 m

Total area= $\frac{1}{2}$× 70 × (60 + 50) + $\frac{1}{2}$ × 40 × 60 +$\frac{1}{2}$ × 40 × 80 + $\frac{1}{2}$ × 80 × (40 + 30) + $\frac{1}{2}$ × 50 × 50
= 3850 + 1200 + 1600 + 2800 + 1250 = 10, 700 $m^2$
