Find the area of the given figure having both the ends as semi-circles with a radius = 7 cm and lengh of the central part is 10 cm as marked.
For the semicircle: radius = 7 cm.
Area of the two semi-circles = 12(π×r2)+12(π×r2)=π×r2=227×7×7=154cm2
For rectangle in middle, one side is 10 cm and the other side is equal to the diameter of the semi-circle which is = 7 + 7 = 14 cm.
Area of rectangular part = length × breadth = 10 ×14 = 140 cm2
Total area = Area of the two semi-circles + Area of the rectangle = 154+140 = 294 cm2.
