The correct option is C


Area of parallelogram ABED = Base × Height

Base = 12 m

Height = 6 m

Area of parallelogram ABED = 12 × 6 = 72 m2

We know that the diagonal of the parallelogram divides it into two triangles with equal area.

Hence, area of triangle ADE = Area of parallelogram ABED2

=722=36 m2

Now, the area of Δ BCE=12×base×height
=12×8×6
=24 m2

Area of non - shaded portion = 36 + 24

= 60 m2
