As opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal.
Also, we know that area of parallelogram $=$ base $\times$ height
$= A P \times D C = Q C \times B C$
$\Rightarrow$ Area $= 8 \times x = 10 \times 4 = 40 c m^{2}$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{40}{5} = 8$ cm.
