The correct option is C 5 cm2

Area of rectangle ABCD is 5×4=20 cm2.

Area of yellow region = 15 cm2.

It is seen from the diagram that, Area of rectangle ABCD = Area of yellow region + Area of red region. Therefore, area of red region = Area of rectangle – area of yellow region = 5 cm2.
