The correct option is A 36.39 cm2

Given: ACB = 90
So, using Pythagoras Theorem in right-angled ACB

AB2 = AC2 + BC2
AB2 = 52 + 122 = 25 + 144
AB = 169
AB = 13 cm
Now, radius of circle = 12× AB
= 12× 13 = 6.5 cm
Now,
Area of semicircle OBCA = 12×πr2
= 12×227×6.52
= 66.39 cm2

Now, Area of ACB = 12× AC× CB

= 12× 5× 12
= 30 cm2

Then,
Area of Shaded segment = (Area of semicircle OBCA - Area of ACB)

Area of Shaded segment = (66.39 - 30) cm2 = 36.39 cm2
