Total area of ABCD square =s×s
=14×14
=196cm2

Area of inner square JKLM having sides as follows:
JK=LM=KL=JM=14332=4cm
Area of JKLM =s×s
=4×4
=16cm2

Area of semicircle =πr22 {d=4cm r=2cm }

=3.14(2)22

=6.28cm2

Area of 4 semicircles =6.28×4
=25.12cm2

Total unshaded Area = area of 4 semicircles + area of JKLM =25.12+16
=41.12cm2
Shaded area = Total square areaunshaded area
=196cm241.12cm2
=154.88cm2.
