The correct option is D 57cm2
Area of square ABCD=10×10=100cm2

Area of region R1+ Area of region R3

=Area of square-Area of two semicircles of radius 5cm

=1002[12π(5)2]=10025π

Area of region R2+ Area of region R4

=Area of square -Area of two semicircle of radius 5cm.

=1002[12π(5)2]=10025π

So, Area of the shaded region

=Area of square-(Area of region R1+ Area of region R2+ Area of region R3+ Area of region R4)

=100(10025π+10025π)

=50π100

=50×3.14100

=57cm2.
