Find the area of the shaded region in the given figure, if ABCD is a square of side 20 m and APD and BPC are semicircle.

Area of Square = Side2 = 20*20= 400 sq m

AD=20(diameter)

So radius =10

Area of two semicircles = πrr

= π x 10*10 = 314sq m

Area of shaded region=Area of square ABCD − Area of semi-circle APD − Area of semi-circle BPC

Area of shaded region = 400– 314= 86 sq m
