Let the midpoint of sides AB,BC and CA is D, E and F respectively.

Coordinates of Point D

D = (0+22,1+12),D(1,0)

Similarly point E (2+02,1+32),E(1,2)

Co-ordinates of point F (0+02,312),F(0,1)

Area of triangle DEF = 12|1(21)+1(10)+0(02)

= 12(1+1)=1sq unit.
