Find the capacity (in litres) of a cylindrical storage tank of height 1.2 m and base diameter 35 cm.

Height of the tank =1.2m
Radius of the base =352=17.5cm=0.175m
Capacity of the tank = Volume of the tank
As we know that volume of the cylinder is given as-
V=πr2h
Capacity of the tank =227×(0.175)2×1.2=0.1155m3=0.1155×1000(1m3=1L)=115.5L
