Capacity of cistern $=$ volume of rectangular cistern
$= L \times B \times H$
$= 6 \times 2.5 \times 1.4$
$= 21 m^{3}$

Area of iron sheet required $=$ T.S.A of cuboid $= 2 (l b + b h + l h)$
$= 2 (15 + 3.5 + 8.4) = 53.8 m^{2}$
