Solution

The length of the rectangular field l=35m

The breadth of the rectangular field b=18m

Step 1: Find the area of the rectangular field and the cost of cultivation of a rectangular field.

The area of the rectangular field =l×b

=35×18=630sq.m

The cost of the cultivating a rectangular field per square meter =20

So, the total cost of the cultivating a rectangular field =20×630

=12,600

Step 2: Find the total cost of fencing the rectangular field.

The perimeter of the rectangular field =2×l+b

=2×35+18=2×53=106m

The cost of fencing the field per m=15

The total cost of the fencing=15×106

=1,590

Hence, the total cost of the cultivating a rectangular field is 12,600 and the total cost of the fencing the rectangular field is 1,590.
