Question

Find the degree measures corresponding to the following radian measures (use π=227):

(i) 1116 (ii) -4 (iii) 5π3 (iv) 7π6

Open in App
Solution

(i) To convert radian into degree measures, we multiply by 180π.

(1116)C=(1116×180×722)0

= (3158)0=(3938)0

= 390(38×60)=390(452)

= 390(2212)=39022(12×60)′′

= 3902230′′

(ii) (4)C=(4×180π)0

=- (4×180×722)C=(252011)0

=- (229111)0=2290(111×60)

=- 2290527311′′

(iii) (5π3)C=(5π3×180π)0=3000

(iv) (7π6)C=(7π6×180π)0=2100
