2xy×7x2y2=(2×7)×(xy×x2y2)

=14×(x1+2y1+2) (am×an=am+n)

=14×(x3y3)
=14x3y3

The degree of a monomial is the sum of the exponents of all of its variables.

Exponent of the variable x=3
