Question

Find the derivative of the following function:
f(x) = (x2+1) cos x

Open in App
Solution

Here f(x)=(x2+1) cos x

f(x)=ddx[(x2+1) cos x]

=(x2+1)ddx(cos x)+cos x ddx(x2+1)

=(x2+1)(sin x)+cos x(2x)

=x2 sin xsin x+2x cos x
