The correct option is C $- 3$
Given equation is,
$x^{2} + x + 1 = 0$
We know, $D = b^{2} - 4 a c$
$a = 1, b = 1, c = 1$
$∴ D = (1)^{2} - 4 (1) (1)$
$∴ D = - 3$
