Find the discriminant of each of the following equations:
$2 x^{2} - 7 x + 6 = 0$

$2 x^{2} - 7 x + 6 = 0$

Compare given equation with the general form of quadratic equation, which is

$a x^{2} + b x + c = 0$

Here, $a = 2, b = - 7$ and $c = 6$

Determinant formula: $D = b^{2} - 4 a c$

$(- 7)^{2} - 4 \times 2 \times 6$

$D = 1$
