(i) Here, x1 = -6, y1 = 7 and x2 = -1, y1 = -5
∴ PQ = √(x2−x1)2+(y2−y1)2
⇒PQ = √(−1+6)2+(−5−7)2 ⇒PQ = √(25)+(144) = √169 = 13
(ii) We have,
RS = √(a−b−a−b)2+(−a−b−a+b)2 ⇒ √4b2+4a2
= 2√(a)2+(b)2
