Question

Find the equation of a circle, the end points of one of whose diameters are A (2, -3) and B(-3, 5).

Open in App
Solution

We know that the equation of a circle, the end points of one of whose diameters are x1, y1 and x2, y2, is given by

(xx1)(xx2)+(yy1)(yy2)=0.

Here, x1=2, y1=3 and x2=3, y2=5.

the required equation of the circle is

(x2)(x+3)(y+3)(y5)=0.

x2+y2+x2y21=0.
