Find the equation of line which cuts off equal intercepts on the co-ordinates axes and passes through $(2,5)$.

Let the equation of the line be $x+y=a$.......(1)

Where $a$ is the equal intercept made by the line on both the co-ordinate axes.

According to the problem, line (1) passes through $(2,5)$.

Then we get,

$2+5=a$

or, $a=7$.

So the equation of the line is $x+y=7$.
