Find the equivalent fraction of 35, having:
(i) numerator 9
(ii) denominator 30
(iii) numerator 21
(iv) denominator 40

(i) 35=9

Consider the numerator.

As 3×3=9,

we will multiply both the numerator & denominator by 3.

3×35×3=915


(ii) 35=30

Consider the denominator.

As 5×6=30,

we will multiply both the numerator & denominator by 6.

3×65×6 = 1830


(iii) 35=21

Consider the numerator.

As 3×7=21,

we will multiply both the numerator & denominator by 7.

3×75×7=2135


(iv) 35=40

Consider the denominator.

As 5×8=40,

we will multiply both the numerator & denominator by 8.

3×85×8=2440
